EARLY CHILDHOOD
Small-group instruction is central to our approach in Early Childhood, enabling faculty to maximize student potential through flexible learning environments tailored to individual abilities and interests. Our classrooms feature dynamic, co-occurring small groups for reading, math, science, parsha, and social studies, ensuring every child receives targeted attention and customized instruction.
Cultivating a strong foundation in English and Ivrit literacy is central to our mission. Instruction is delivered in leveled, ability-appropriate small groups that target each child's zone of proximal development, offering an optimal balance of support and academic challenge. Literacy groups are supported by dedicated Learning Center teachers who collaborate with the classroom teacher to provide instruction within the classroom (push-in) or in small groups outside the classroom (pull-out). This flexible and highly differentiated model allows for targeted, level-appropriate reading instruction while supporting each student's unique learning style and helping every child reach their full potential. Utilizing a data-driven, diagnostic, and multi-sensory framework, our teachers track growth closely and optimize the learning trajectory for each student. Since children develop at different paces, these groups remain highly fluid and flexible.

LOWER SCHOOL
Throughout grades 1–5, we continue to closely assess students’ academic progress, skills, and learning styles. We provide academic support and enrichment in reading, math, Ivrit, and Chumash, utilizing highly effective pull-out and push -in models where students receive targeted, direct instruction that seamlessly aligns with the core classroom curriculum. Our dedicated learning specialists collaborate closely with classroom teachers to accelerate skill acquisition and critical thinking while cultivating foundational academic confidence and building higher level inferencing skills. All literacy educators are extensively trained in a multi-sensory, Orton-Gillingham-based framework, systematically ensuring that each child masters the essential fundamentals of literacy.
Enrichment and support opportunities are also seamlessly integrated throughout the school day within the classrooms. Expectations are differentiated based on students’ interests, strengths, and weaknesses. Teachers modify the learning process and products to isolate the critical learning objectives. Teachers also incorporate a wide variety of extensions designed to promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through both individualized instruction and small group formats. We champion our students in exploring individual areas of interest to supplement the academic curriculum, including STEM, art, chess, music, mishna, parsha, and more, ensuring all students reach their potential.

Yavneh’s Scholars Program is a unique, small-group learning opportunity for students in grades 3-5 with highly advanced academic and creative abilities to engage with grade-level content in more challenging and complex ways. INCLUSION
In second through eighth grade, we have an inclusion program which is incorporated into one class per grade. This is a cornerstone of our school, and reflects our genuine commitment to meet the needs of every child. The program is based inside a mainstream classroom with both a general education and a special education teacher in the class throughout the day. Our goal is to offer meaningful support to these children in an organic way. A special education teacher facilitates the students’ abilities to maximize their learning, access the curriculum, gain student skills, and reach their potential within the classroom. All students in the class are enriched by this experience, and we take tremendous pride in our graduates from this support program who have gone onto mainstream high schools and colleges on the foundation of essential skills attained from their time in Yavneh’s inclusion program.
YAVNEH KEREM PROGRAM
At Yavneh, we believe that children learn best when they feel supported not only academically, but emotionally as well. The Kerem Program was thoughtfully designed to provide an additional layer of support for students whose emotional or executive functioning needs impact their ability to fully access the classroom experience. By providing proactive, individualized support within the general education setting, the program helps remove barriers to learning so students can develop the academic, executive functioning, and emotional skills needed to participate more independently and confidently throughout the school day.
The Kerem Program is fully integrated within a mainstream classroom. A dedicated Kerem support teacher works alongside the classroom teacher throughout the school day, collaborating closely with classroom teachers, the Guidance Department, families, and outside providers to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to supporting each student's growth. Yavneh's Kerem Program reflects Yavneh's ongoing commitment to meeting the diverse needs of our students while fostering an inclusive community where every child can thrive.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Middle school is a pivotal time of growth and transition when students begin to form their identities and take on greater responsibility. Our students are guided by values from the Torah as they develop character, respect, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Yavneh Academy offers a wide range of opportunities to foster students’ academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development.
Yavneh’s Middle School offers a wide range of enrichment opportunities that allow students to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and deepen their learning. Academic programs, a wide range of electives, leadership opportunities and character development initiatives are woven throughout the middle school experience. Advisory programs and grade-level curricula support social-emotional development, and students regularly take part in activities promoting kindness, Jewish identity, Israel advocacy, and community building. Our commitment is to foster continuous growth, empowering every student to achieve their individual best academically and personally.
In addition to these enriching experiences, Yavneh’s Middle School also offers outstanding support services. Our middle school teachers have a keen understanding that students have unique areas of strength and weakness. This is evident through the creation of multilevel assignments and assessments based on the abilities and/or interests of students. Support is provided in reading comprehension, writing, Ivrit, Chumash, Gemara, and math, depending on the needs of each student. Outside the classroom, students benefit from innovative organization and study support groups. This has helped many students navigate the new challenges of middle school while building the foundational skills they need to become successful, independent learners.
