Frequently Asked Questions on how to use the Yavneh Academy website.

I click on a link and nothing happens.

I click on the link and nothing happens.

1. Check your browser...use Internet Explorer 5.5 or above.

Click on the "e" to access Internet Explorer on a PC or on the "Browse the Internet" icon on a Mac. If you access the Internet using AOL or MSN, please minimize the window for AOL or MSN and open Internet Explorer for the Yavneh Academy website. Other browsers such as AOL, MSN, Netscape, etc do not allow certain links and features to work properly.

2. Check to see if the window is already open.
Many links open in "pop up" windows. If you've already clicked on the link, the new page may already be open. Check other open browser windows. On a PC, they are lined up at the bottom of your screen. On a Mac, please click on Window on the top menu bar and see if you have more than one open window.

3. Check to see if you have a "pop up blocker" that disables pop up windows.
There should be a way for you to enable pop up windows for the domain yavnehacademy.org. Please check the help or speak to the support from the software company.

 

I click on the link to a form, flyer or newsletter and I get an error or nothing happens

1. Please check to see that you are using Internet Explorer 5.5 or above.

2. Please check that the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader is available on your computer.
Most flyers and forms on the Yavneh Website are posted in PDF format which required Adobe Acrobat Reader be installed on your computer. Please check that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.1 or above.

3. Please check your Operating System.
For a PC, you need to have Win 98 or above. If you have Windows 98, and are experiencing problems with some of the features on the website, please update your operating system.
For a Mac, you need to have Mac OS 8x of above.

1. Please check that you are using Internet Explorer to access the website.

2. Clear the Internet Explorer browser's temporary files.

If the error occurs while using Internet Explorer, please try clearing the temporary files for the browser. On internet Explorer, go to TOOLS, then click on Internet Options. In the new window, click on the buttons Delete Cookies, Delete Files and Delete History (each function may take a few minutes).
When done, restart your computer.

3. Update your operating system and browser.

When I click on a link I get a weird error message.

1. Please refresh your browser by clicking on the Refresh or Reload button.

When I click on SOIN-Mail, Academic Calendar, Lunch Menu or any form or flyer, nothing happens.

 

1. Please check that your pop-up blocker allows pop ups for www.yavnehacademy.org and www.soinmail.com.

 

I was able to login before, but now I when I try to login, I get a Session Timeout error.

1. Please try clearing your cache. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Internet Explorer

  2. Go to Tools > Internet Options

  3. Click on Delete History

  4. Click on Delete Files (you may not need to delete cookies)

  5. Close the browser

  6. Open a new browser and try logging in.
